Hello Camper - camper email and a photo gallery services for parents and camps

“YCC’s Hello Camper was a great success in its inaugural season! With over 400 parents registered (over 2 months), we printed an average of 200 emails daily. The program is easy to use and maintain. All the emails are sorted alphabetically, by unit, printed, and then distributed along with the regular mail. Parents had the ease of mind knowing that a message written on one day would be read by their camper the next. This quickly became a tool used by our supervisors and program directors for homesick children. Feedback for those kids is immediate, and provides an instant reassurance to them.

Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the Hello Camper Program. The feedback has been positive and our fax machine has enjoyed the break. YCC and its community have become reliant on the program and I couldn’t imagine a summer without it!”

We offered the Hello Camper messaging and photo gallery service for the first time this past summer here at Circle Square Ranch in Halkirk, Alberta. We found it to be a positive addition that enhanced the camp experience for both the kids and the parents that signed up for Hello Camper. The kids were very excited to receive encouraging notes from their families and friends, and enjoyed knowing that people back home could see their pictures and know what they were doing at camp. The parents that participated in the program seemed to really enjoy sending encouragements and important reminders to their kids. The photo gallery was very popular as it gave the families and friends a unique opportunity to watch camp unfold each day.
